On Jan. 29, Rabin Martin launched its Community Engagement Program, which provides team members with opportunities to volunteer at local organizations and charities. Led by firm President and CEO Bill Martin and Executive Vice President Rebecca Hoppy, 10 members of the Rabin Martin team spent the day working at St. John’s Episcopal Church, a community kitchen in nearby Bay Ridge, Brooklyn. The team prepared and packaged two days’ worth of food for 1,800 victims of Hurricane Sandy. Because there was a shortage of volunteer drivers for the day, Bill also stepped in to help deliver meals to people in neighboring communities. The team finished the day by cleaning the facility for the next day’s volunteers.

Staff at the community kitchen commented on the exceptional team work of the Rabin Martin volunteers. “As New Yorkers, we were all affected by Sandy,” said Junior Associate David Ettl. “It’s wonderful to work for a firm that provides us with an opportunity to give back.”
