As President, Hoppy will guide Rabin Martin’s strategic vision and growth, including overseeing client services, broadening Rabin Martin’s product portfolio to deliver innovative solutions that meet client needs, and nurturing top talent in support of the firm’s mission to improve the lives of underserved populations around the world. In her new role as Managing Director, Schachern will focus on business development; lead Finance, Operations, Marketing and Communications for the firm; and work closely with both Dr. Sturchio and Ms. Hoppy to continue offering strategic counsel across the firm’s client portfolio.
“When Rabin Martin joined the Omnicom Public Relations Group in 2016, it was evident to me that they were the leaders in global health strategy. I am thrilled that Rebecca and Kate will be taking on expanded responsibilities in leading Rabin Martin through the next phase of its evolution in providing strategy consulting for the world’s leading institutions in health and health care,” said Karen van Bergen, CEO of the Omnicom Public Relations Group.
“I’m excited to continue working closely with Rebecca and Kate to create Rabin Martin’s future. Rebecca’s passion for health is matched by her ambition, creativity and discipline in business. She has the ideal combination of strategic and emotional intelligence necessary to deliver the big ideas, new business models and flawless execution that have made Rabin Martin so successful today,” commented Jeff Sturchio, CEO of Rabin Martin. “Kate’s strategic insights, smart counsel, commitment, skills and demonstrated track record of leadership and operational excellence will help ensure the firm’s continued growth as she takes on her expanded role as Managing Director. I look forward to working with them both to expand the services we offer to a growing roster of clients.”
A seasoned strategist, consultant and thirteen-year veteran of Rabin Martin, Rebecca Hoppy assumes the Presidency with extensive experience. In her tenure at the firm, she has led a broad portfolio of large-scale global health initiatives, providing the world’s leading multinational corporations, foundations, NGOs, governments and multilateral organizations with creative strategies and global health programs to reach new populations, enhancing clients’ contributions and leadership in global health. In her most recent role as Managing Director and Partner, Rebecca helped lead the company through consecutive years of growth and diversification and its 2016 acquisition by Omnicom.
Since joining Rabin Martin in 2007, Schachern has overseen many of the firm’s largest accounts and has played a crucial role in driving Rabin Martin’s growth. Schachern has a strong track record of developing and executing strategy, advocacy, policy, and programmatic initiatives for multinational clients working in global health, corporate social responsibility (CSR), and access to medicines around the world. In her most recent role as Partner, her ability to navigate the critical intersections of clients’ business objectives and public health goals enabled Rabin Martin to deliver excellent value and established Kate’s reputation as a trusted advisor. “I am excited to take on this new role for the firm’s next chapter and continue working with our clients and partners to realize our collective goal of improving health and health equity for underserved and hard-to-reach populations around the world,” Schachern said. It’s an honor to be a part of Rabin Martin and to work with our incredible team and our clients to improve global health outcomes every day.”
In speaking about her new role, Hoppy commented, “It is a privilege to work with clients and partners at the cutting edge of innovation and leadership in global health, designing ambitious solutions for the future. I am thrilled to step into the role of President at this critical moment and appreciate and look forward to continued collaboration with Jeff, Kate and the rest of the Rabin Martin team.
