This week, heads of state and members from civil society, development and the private sector will gather in New York for the United Nations General Assembly and related meetings.

The formal agenda kicks off on September 18th, with the majority of side events that present a unique opportunity for multisectoral engagement and dialogue on key global health issues taking place September 23rd-27th.

This year, two highly anticipated events are the first ever UN General Assembly high-level meeting on tuberculosis (TB) and the third high-level meeting on non-communicable diseases (NCDs).

• September 26th: High-level meeting on TB, with the goal of accelerating efforts in ending TB and reaching all affected people with prevention and care.

• September 27th: High-level meeting on the prevention and control of non-communicable diseases. Will include a comprehensive review of the global and national progress achieved thus far in putting measures in place that protect people from premature death as a result of NCDs.

If you are planning to attend and want to connect, please contact [email protected]. We look forward to seeing you at UNGA!
