Rabin Martin is proud to highlight the multi-faceted work we do for our clients through two global health reports that we recently developed. These reports are strong examples of how Rabin Martin helps our clients derive value from their global health investments and showcase their important work in advancing the global health field through both research and evaluation and public/private partnerships.

The first is the Merck for Mothers Research Compendium / Evidence for Impact, which demonstrates Merck for Mothers’ commitment to improving maternal health and strengthening health systems more broadly. The compendium summarizes and links to more than 100 publications that Merck for Mothers commissioned or that its partners produced since the initiative’s inception. In addition to creating the compendium, Rabin Martin played a significant role in helping Merck for Mothers determine the right approach to evaluation, establish more than 15 partnerships with leading research organizations to generate new evidence, monitor and evaluate the initiative’s investments, and interpret evaluation results for both technical and lay audiences.

The second is the final report of Saving Mothers Giving Life, a five-year public/private partnership initiated by Hillary Clinton. Led by the U.S. government with Merck for Mothers as a founding partner, this partnership set the ambitious goal of reducing maternal mortality by half and came close to achieving its goal in target districts of Uganda and Zambia. Our team has been deeply involved in this initiative from the beginning and helped tell this important story by synthesizing and humanizing complex data, highlighting the value of partnerships, and demonstrating how the partners made a distinctive and major contribution to the global health field.
