Dannia is passionate about youth sexual health education and empowering vulnerable populations most affected by infectious diseases. She brings experience in capacity building, monitoring and evaluation, project implementation and health advocacy in diverse environments including Latin America, East Africa, Southeast Asia, and the US-Mexico border region. At Rabin Martin, Dannia focuses on:
- Conducting research and analysis to shape and enhance initiatives that improve global health equity, promote quality of care, and increase access to medicines
- Developing strategies, programs and partnerships that both deliver public health impact and drive business results.
- Providing technical, programmatic, and strategic support to advance client strategies
Prior to joining the firm, Dannia worked as a global health consultant advising on the implementation and management of Global Fund Focused Country evaluations for HIV, TB and Malaria grants across Latin America, The Caribbean, Africa, and the Middle East. Previously, she lived and worked in Cabo Delgado, Mozambique with the Peace Corps as a Community Health Outreach Specialist, where she formed youth groups focused on health education, linkages between traditional healers and the Ministry of Health, and prevention and control of HIV, Malaria and Cholera. She is fluent in English, Spanish and Portuguese.
