The Private Sector Roundtable (PSRT), for which Rabin Martin serves as Secretariat, has been working with one of its members, Qlik, to develop and launch an online platform illustrating country qualitative and quantitative data on health security capacity.
The platform is an interactive visualization of data from the Joint External Evaluations (JEE), conducted by member countries of the Global Health Security Agenda. The JEE is a voluntary, collaborative process to assess a country’s capacity under the International Health Regulations to prevent, detect and respond to public health threats. The PSRT/Qlik tool makes the information from the country evaluations more accessible for countries and partners, allowing users to compare data across regions and view in various formats. The tool also draws from external data sources to enrich the analysis. It is intended for countries and partners to view successes and gaps in health security capacity and recognize potential for collaboration to address the identified needs. As countries undergo further evaluations, the tool can incorporate their subsequent scores and show progress over time. The tool also holds the potential to serve as a data collection mechanism for countries during the JEE process.
The tool has been developed in consultation with Global Health Security Agenda (GHSA) country partners, including the U.S. Government and Finland, who have adivsed on ways to make the tool most useful for governments. The tool is continuously being improved and updated and is currently available for use here.
GHSA countries and partners have already been using the tool. The PSRT aims to promote broader uptake, as a way for countries to process and understand their and other countries’ evaluations, and for potential partners to consider how they can leverage their capabilities to address gaps. The Secretariat invites GHSA stakeholders and interested parties to use the tool and welcomes feedback.
Rabin Martin serves as the Secretariat for the Private Sector Roundtable, a coalition of companies that act as a central touchpoint for industry engagement to support countries in strengthening systems for health security. Rabin Martin supports PSRT members by identifying priority areas, liaising with country governments and other GHSA partners, facilitating various workstreams and maintaining operations for the multi-company initiative.
