Rajni Samavedam has joined Rabin Martin as the new Managing Partner & CEO.

In this role, Rajni oversees all global client relationships and the delivery of Rabin Martin’s breadth of consulting services, primarily working with leaders in global pharma and major foundations who are unlocking growth and improving health for underserved and vulnerable people in the US, Europe and across Low-to-Middle Income Countries.

A global health strategy that sits on a shelf doesn’t make an impact on a healthcare company’s business – or the people who can’t access their medicines in traditional ways today,” says Samavedam. “I’m excited to be leading a consultancy that doesn’t just design a strategy and walk away. We work side-by-side with clients to activate the strategy and follow it through to make a lasting impact on business.”

Rajni joined Rabin Martin with 25+ years of experience in health and life science consulting, public health research, as well as community-level understanding of global health challenges as the co-founder of an NGO in India that addresses women and child health. Rajni’s breadth of experience includes designing programs for leading institutions such as with the National Institutes of Health, performing original inquiry and novel research in the field of cardiovascular health, and developing outcome metrics and measures for vaccine programs.

Her deep understanding of the challenges across the health ecosystem – along with her background in health areas including cancer, cardiovascular health, mental health, vaccines, pediatric, and reproductive health – will allow her to lead Rabin Martin in delivering impactful health outcomes and health equity solutions to clients.

Health equity may be a trending topic today, but Rabin Martin has been driving health equity for more than two decades. When we help companies decrease barriers to accessing their healthcare innovations among underserved and vulnerable patients, we’re improving health equity at scale and generating incremental growth for our clients,” says Samavedam.

Rajni has a master’s in public health, specializing in reproductive epidemiology and maternal and child health, from the Drexel School of Public Health, a graduate certificate in research in developing countries from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, and a BA in Biology and Chemistry from Smith College. Rajni lives in the US, where she and her husband are parents of twins.
