Catalina believes in the importance of using a social determinant lens when addressing health inequalities. Through her diverse background she brings an intersectional perspective on health issues and aims to promote global health equity.

At Rabin Martin, Catalina focuses on:

  • Providing internal and external communications support.
  • Developing strategies to increase access to quality maternal health services.
  • Conducting research to inform and recommend sustainable approaches to health system challenges.

 
Prior to Rabin Martin, Catalina worked as an educator and led sexual and reproductive health and rights seminars for diverse communities in the United States and Colombia. Currently, she collaborates with the Observatory of Obstetric Violence using social media to educate families and pregnant people on their rights during childbirth. As a Community-building Officer of the Coalition of Global Health Innovation, Catalina is committed to building a network of young global health professionals that will lead the global health field in the future.
