Susana Oguntoye has almost two decades experience in health research and policy, as well as design, monitoring, evaluation, and implementation around health services development, with a particular focus on international development and global health systems strengthening. Susana’s passion is addressing health disparities. Raised in Nigeria and Germany, and having lived and worked across multiple continents, Susana considers herself a global citizen and speaks several languages.
At Rabin Martin, Susana focuses on:
- Health services, including systems’ access and strengthening
- Strengthening and coordinating data collection and use, evaluation and knowledge transfer
- Stakeholder engagement and partnership building
- Mentoring and capacity building
Susana came to Rabin Martin from her role as Executive Director at Kupona Foundation, serving over 124,000 annually with much needed healthcare and specialized surgery. Prior to Kupona Foundation, Susana served as Africare’s Director for Monitoring, Evaluation, & Knowledge Learning. Susana joined Africare via a merger with Accordia Global Health Foundation, where she was Director of Programs & Research. In previous years, Susana has built laboratory capacity in Africa with the American Society for Microbiology and has worked in advocacy, gender, disease-specific disability rights, and public health.
