Rabin Martin Statement on Anti-Asian Hate
Hate and violence against Asian American Pacific Islander (AAPI) communities has sharply risen during the COVID-19 pandemic. This has to change – both as the pandemic persists and in our post-pandemic life. Violence should have no hiding place, as hate is hate. Rabin Martin stands in solidarity with the AAPI community to urge action to stop the violence. It is spreading like a cancer, and all of society must act before it metastasizes. The world should have no more room for bigotry, racism, violence, and the toxic terrorism that we see being targeted at members of the AAPI community.
At Rabin Martin, we value inclusion. We aspire to be a place where people of different experiences, thinking, and voices are not only respected, but celebrated. When we see these values corroded and breached in the public sphere through hate and violence against members of any community, it drives us to take a stand against racism and hate. And, even more simply, spread a few basic tenets of human decency: be alert, mindful, and report hatred that you experience or witness in all its ugly forms.
